Methodology & limitations

The address calculation is derived from IPv4 CIDR prefix arithmetic. Point-to-point /31 networks use both endpoint addresses under RFC 3021; /32 identifies one host. This tool does not inspect or change a real network. The accompanying VLAN, PoE, UPS and camera-retention tools are engineering estimates, not device-specific guarantees.
