What's behind it

Network Design Studio is a publicly available, independently built engineering-calculator collection. Its five tools cover IPv4/CIDR addressing, VLAN collision checking, PoE budgets, illustrative battery runtimes and camera-retention estimates. Inputs are calculated in the browser, and results are not a replacement for model-specific datasheets or field testing.

The first phase delivers five separate calculator workflows inside one dedicated app rather than five disconnected repositories. IPv4 edge cases, VLAN overlap checks, PoE IEEE limits, power-factor and battery assumptions, and decimal TB retention conversion are explicitly tested.

The UI shows which quantities are calculated and which depend on assumptions supplied by the visitor. UPS battery runtime and camera retention are illustrative models, not vendor promises. It does not connect to, inspect or change production networks.

The public deployment uses a separately scoped Cloudflare Worker at /tools/network-design/ on the apex and www domains. Its routes do not replace the portfolio, GYCalc or Traffic Advisory routes. Verified on mobile and desktop on 29 October 2026.
